  1. Indicate that .NET 4.5 is a requirement for AutoTag v14 installation

The installation process for AutoTag v14 does not indicate that .NET Framework v4.5 is required. the AutoTag Add-on will appear in Word, but not function properly. Please indicate in the installation materials, as well as in the installer itself, that .NET Framework 4.5 is required.

    Hello Reporter,

We have reviewed this suggestion and accepted it for development for our most recent version. We agree that the requirements should be clear and encouraged in our documentation and installer. I will update this ticket again when I know what version this will be in. Thank you for your suggestion and please submit any other ideas you have to improve our products.

  2. Preserve page number formatting across different sections in Word (AutoTag)

Currently in Autotag 12.5.37, when there are different sections in a Word Document that utilize different page number formats (e.g. i/ii/iii/iv/... and 1/2/3/4/...) and a document is generated from a data source, the formatting in the template does not come through and all page numbers default to the 1/2/3/4/... format, resulting in confusion for the reader.

Allowing for this capability will make it easier for Autotag users to maintain a more refined template where readers can more easily identify the section that they are reading and reduces rework for Autotag users.

    Thanks!

  3. referencing other worksheets in formulas in generated Excel reports

When you write a formula in a template that references another cell on the same sheet, it increments the row number on each new row that is added by a foreach loop.
It would be great if this worked the same way for formulas referencing other worksheets.

  4. Allow XML data source to be searchable

We want non-technical business users to be able to author simple letter templates using an XML data source. Currently, the template author has to know the XML structure in order to be able to drill down to select their desired element in either the tag builder or the data bin.

I would like my users to be able to search the XML structure. For example, if they want to include the customer's name in their letter, they could type in 'name', which would filter the XML elements displayed to them. The choice between /order/customer/name and /order/product/name then becomes obvious for…

    Hello Brooke!

Search tree functionality has officially been added to the Tag Editor and released in 16.5.0. The same search functionality is targeted to be added to the XML Wizard in 16.7.0.
    Thank you for your request!
